Welcome to the small community of Kakisa! The community is located 13km away from the Highway 1, providing a quiet and serene spot to relax and enjoy nature. There is plenty of wildlife to see, activities like fishing and paddling and sightseeing opportunities like Lady Evelyn Falls.Getting Here:
The most common way to get to Kakisa is by driving. The community is located off of highway 1. Signs are situated on the highway to help with directions. It is the same turnoff point for Lady Evelyn Falls and campground.

Food:
There is no store in Kakisa to purchase food. The closest convenient store is in Fort Providence and Enterprise. The closest Grocery store is in the town of Hay River. Regular gas is available with the use of a credit card. Make sure to pack what you need before visiting. Visitors are able to fish in surrounding lakes.
Communication:
There is cell reception in the community as well as a public pay phone in the band office.
The community takes pride in their environment and wishes visitors to respect the area while visiting. Please recycle and throw away unwanted garbage. As a safety precaution follow signs, follow safe boating practices and take away any remaining fish products that could attract wildlife into the community.
